The Abbe Refractometer is intended for measuring the refractive index nD and the average  dispersion nF- nC of transparent or translucent liquid, or solid substance (of which mainly  intended for measuring transparent liquid). In case of the instrument being connected with a  thermostat, it will be able to measure the refractive index nD at a temperature between 10℃ and 50℃.
